Assoc. Prof. Dr. Narimah Binti Kasim, ICIOB is an Associate Professor at the Department of Construction Management, Faculty of Technology Management and Business, Universiti Tun Hussien Onn Malaysia (UTHM). She did her BE in Civil Engineering at the University of Malaya and MSc in (Construction Management) at the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM). She obtained her Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Construction Management at the University of Loughborough United Kingdom. Her research interests are in construction management, materials management, ICT in construction management, construction technology, human resource management, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and Building Information Modelling (BIM). She started her career as an Assistant Resident Engineer at Rahhill Bersekutu Sdn. Bhd in 1996 and was continued MSc in (Construction Management) at UTM in 1999. After completing her MSc degree, she works as Site Manager at Tiaraview Management Sdn. Bhd. and joined Kolej Teknologi Binaan, Yayasan Pelajaran Johor (YPJ) as a lecturer in 2000. She attached with UTHM in 2003 as a lecturer at Faculty of Technology Management, Business and Entrepreneurship until present. She has had various experiences in the construction industry and more than 10 years’ experience of teaching in higher education. During her tenure, she has various publications in international indexed journals, conference, and books. She is also involved many research projects as Principal Investigator and as a   co-researcher. Currently, she is a Head of Focus Group for Construction Management Innovation (CMI) focus group. Her research projects are in the fields of construction management, materials management, ICT in construction management, RFID in construction management, BIM, construction waste management, disaster risk management, heritage building, and human resource management.

Associate Professor Dr. Narimah Kasim also appointed an external assessor for the new academic program in the UTHM. She is also appointed as an internal and external examiner for Masters and Ph.D. candidates in various Public Universities in Malaysia such as UTHM, UTM, UiTM, UTeM, and UKM. She is also an expert referral for postgraduate research projects on RFID technology conducted at the University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart, Germany. In addition, she also boards member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), United Kingdom as Incorporate Member (ICIOB) since 2009
