The humble beginnings

Assalamualaikum wbt and sincere greetings.

On behalf of the Organising Committee, I would like to welcome all delegates and
participants to this International Conference of Technology Management, Business and Entrepreneurship (ICTMBE 2014). The conference which is jointly organised by the
Faculty of Technology Management and Business, and UTHM Commercial Sdn. Bhd. has received a tremendous participation not only from both IPTA and IPTS. This
conference provides a platform for knowledge sharing, exchange of experience and dissemination of the ideas and research findings.

I would like to extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who have
participated and given their support directly or indirectly, in making this conference a success. My special thanks to the honorable keynote speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Fauziah binti Wan Yusoff. Last but not least, I would like to applaud the organizing    committees who have worked hard for making this conference a great success.

Keynote Speaker

Puan Norhaizam bte Md Sani


Puan Norhaizam bte Md Sani is presently a Principle Consultant under NMS Consulting Services. Her previous designation were Senior Manager Consultancy & Training at PERSIS Management Sdn Bhd and Training Manager at Halal Industries Development Cooperation (HDC).

She has worked in the field of Halal Food for the past fifteen years encompassing Research and Development of retort pouch products, HACCP Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point, Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice, Malaysia Halal Certification, Halal Production requirements and Internal halal auditing. These technical expertise were practiced on food manufacturers, logistic services companies and 5-star hotel kitchens. Namely, Sainsburys Supermarket (United Kingdom), Nestle, Colgate Palmolive, Unilever and SME companies in Malaysia.Aside from her industrial experiences, she is a strong proponent of the advancement of Halal programme development throughout the Malaysian higher education system. Some of her contributions were developing training modules and materials for HDC Halal Professional and Halal Industries Program, Diploma in food service (Halal Practice) for Ministry of Higher Education, Diploma in Halal Management for KFC International College and Principles of Halal Food Management course for Taylors University.
